Nanna Koekoek was born in Rhenen, the Netherlands in 1976. She works as an illustrator and is part of design and DJ duo Dutch Dolls. She is currently based in Cardiff and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In her work Nanna likes taking something outdated, old-fashioned or uncool and tries to make it interesting again by taking it out of its context.

"A project that involves numbers… the first thing that came to my mind was BINGO. Pretty obvious, but as I moved to the UK recently I noticed that bingo is taken much more seriously over here. I pass a bingo hall every day on my way into town and I’ve become intrigued by the whole ‘bingo culture’. I started fantasising what goes on in behind those doors.
