Below is Janine's entry to our 100:T-shirts project 70
"As a burlesque costume & corset designer/maker, I wanted to create a feminine & glamorous garment to reflect the type of work I do. I did this through restructuring the t-shirt into a smaller size & creating a corset effect by adding silk, lame & tulle fabrics, with eyelets & lacing. For decoration, I added rhinestones, ribbon & cut an open heart shape at the back. Every showgirl needs OTT jewellery, so I incorporated more rhinestones to create the number 70 necklace as the centrepiece to the design." |
