Holly Rogers

Holly is an illustrator currently based in France.

"Renowned for my incredible lack of height and yellow Doc Martens, I like to think I've grown up, when truly I'm just a big child at heart. I find the simple pleasures are the greatest pleasures, such as the overlooked little quirks of friends and everyday events. It is often from these that I like to play with the romanticised and nostalgic themes that occur. Ultimately, I am just a girl who is a firm believer that absolutely nothing beats a belly laugh and a good cup of tea. Enjoy."

"I feel there is an immense and unnecessary focus on the human world, and communication is well established with telephones and the internet. I am inspired by the natural world, give a little and you can be greatly rewarded with the benefits of nature. I wanted to raise awareness of overlooked communities that are fundamental to our lives. Fungi influence our day to day living from penicillin to alcohol and much more. In addition to this, they provide necessary support to trees and many infact have species-specific relationships with them. Aside from these benefits, it can be jolly good fun attempting to identify mushroom species whilst on a jaunt through the woods of a Sunday afternoon. What you are witnessing is Graham the gnome enjoying the fungi community that surrounds him."
