'Intertwine - Intrecciarsi'

21 food wrappers

English: Tesco shortcake biscuits, Bassetts cherry drops, Xtra strong mints, Percy pigs 'original', Percy 'Phizzy' pigs, Percy 'Penny' pigs, Tesco milk chocolate, Cadburys creme egg, Mcvities rich tea biscuits, Polos.
Italian: Carrefour croissants- chocolat, Carrefour croissants- frutta, Nutella, Milka '2 chocs', Milka 'con riso soffiato', Carrefour crostini integrali, Carrefour 'latte-riso' chocolat, Carrefour latte chocolat, Kinder maxi chocolat, Pick n'mix sweet paper bag, Orbit chewing gum.

 

Folding & intertwining of a selection of English and Italian recycled food wrappers. Repetition of folding & weaving the network of papers together to form one dimension. To represent the mixture of culture, food and language experienced everyday living in a different country.

Pieghevole e si intrecciano in una selezione di inglese e in italiano involucri cibo riciclato. La ripetizione di piegatura e la tessitura della rete di carle per formare una dimensiona. Per rappresentare la miscela di cultura, cibo e io linguaggio vivo l'esperienza quotidiana in un paese diverso.

Documentation of 95 recycled Quality Street chocolate wrappers, eaten over the Christmas period.
The design is based on the order &repitition of eating, and the folding of the leftover wrappers.
