"The suffragettes fought and died for our right to vote. Decades later conflicting images of what liberation means are all around us. Is liberation the right to be objectified if we enjoy it or are we letting the side down? Jay-Z has changed the context of Ice-T's "99 Problems" but is the use of "bitch" ironic? Contrasting home-spun stitch with a punky aesthetic reflects the sharp contrasts of images of women."
